MuseMatt Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 (edited) [s]So, because it's not fitting into my current style, this one's gotta go. It's a Dutch build, by luthier André van der End. Built in 1994, with his custom wound pickups and pre-amp. Switchable between active/passive, in passive mode the bright boost works as a tone knob. Ash/Alder body, maple neck, Schaller tuners. The neck is quite thick, it took me some getting used to, because I was used to my Ibanez neck. Shouldn't be any problem but worth mentioning I guess. What else can I say, it's a great bass, had the metal nut replaced by a black one as you can see in the gigging picture. Comes with a (different) strap with straplocks, and will be send in a hardcase. I think this bass is really suitable for anyone who likes funk and jazz; unfortunately I'm more into rock so I can't afford to keep this one. Recording was done without any EQ on the bass, passive, straight line in. Looking around 800 pounds exl. shipping costs. Will be shipped in a hardcase, which comes with the bass. Also open for trade offers, mostly looking for a P-bass, but any bass which covers rock from the 1960s till now may be offered.[/s] Edited May 7, 2010 by MuseMatt
MuseMatt Posted April 23, 2010 Author Posted April 23, 2010 probably not too well-known across the channel
Schnozzalee Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Lovely slap tone especially, very crisp . I've alway found maple boards to be too jazz/funk orientated for me as well, if it had a rosewood board I reckon you'd be sorted. If your looking for 60's/70's rock I got what ya need!!
