Guest Posted May 28, 2007 Share Posted May 28, 2007 (edited) ya bugger! i was also bidding on this but due to other imminent purchases i couldn't go any higher considering the shipping and tax/import duty. congratulations let us all know what the total price comes to and more importantly how it sounds, ive got them, i have added them to my favourite sellers, they had a fender jaguar in vintage white a while ago which gave me i very bad GAS attack. hope you enjoy it looks like a beauty. I popped in to try some p.a. monitors and came home with a bass! No it wasn't hidden when you visited, it was on loan to one of my mates. He plays a Wal 5 mostly, but used this on a gig and was really impressed. He's thinking of going back to 4 strings now. The few I tried did not match up to his example which has an amazing neck and balances really well. Then I saw this and took a fancy to it. My 75 jazz stays at home now. This is a pretty bass, but I've been out of playing since about '90 (kids house wife etc, how did that happen?), and getting back into it I've discovered many differnet Fender models than I knew before ! - Can you tell me, how does an Aerodyne differ from MIA standard or is it just a cosmetic thing? Has everyone had good dealings with him because if so I have my eye on a reissue 53 P. I fancy going for a bit of a Sting vibe. They are on the fender japan website, although it's hard to make much sense of that. Note that the shipping isn't cheap and you could pay import duty on it too.
