Bass V Amp and FCB1010 foot controller

I have had a V Amp for years mainly using it as a tuner and bought the foot controller FCB1010 from this site last year and occasionally use it for a bit of a different sound but just wondered is it possible to use the combined pair to trigger synth type sounds without the bass connected and without purchasing any more equipment ??

I just want to be able to put the occaional synth type note in the quiet part of a song.

Any thoughts ??

It certainly is ! It's got about 8-10 different bass synths inside and they are only midi triggered so you use the FCB instead of your bass to sound them. Of course if you have the bass plugged in then you can still use the VAmp at the same time for live bass plus triggered bass synth mayhem !
