bass24 Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Just spotted this bass? on ebay........ http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT caveat emptor as the old saying goes Quote
daz Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 looks like a piece of hommade junk, i have something similar. Quote
PURPOLARIS Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 The neck can hardly take 4 strings and there's an empty tuner hole in the headstock for a 5th string Quote
The Burpster Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 my guess it was made as a 5 string guitar project (in someones shed, with very crude tools and little skill) and the 5th peg has been taken out a 4 string nut put on and a Schaller bridge (which is probably the best bit about it!). looks a very short scale too and a week pup so I guess it could be great or utter cr@p..... I think you know where my thoughts lie Quote
Bassassin Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 This one's already been put forward for well-deserved ridicule here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=85900 Comedy firewood. Jon. Quote
gjones Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 For the discerning bassist looking for that Road Worn look. Quote
AndyTravis Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Hofner neck? Hofner Staple pickup at the end of the neck? Mrs.Trav had it right 'Looks like a f***in' cardboard cutout...' Yeah, i agree. Roll on November 5th. Quote
Bassulike66 Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 "classic japanese style black headstock." hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha....... Sorry about that! Quote
geoffbyrne Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 I agree with the above - a Hofner neck & pickup. The neck might have been worth something if the 5th hole hadn't been bored in it. Is the body a slab cutout in the shape of a 185? G. Quote
