Clarky Posted May 2, 2010 Share Posted May 2, 2010 I've never understood why certain artists (Stanley Clarke being a good example) keep going through different bass endorsements (as in with different manufacturers). I imagine he has a Nigel Tufnell-sized collection of Alembics, then he gets a Spellbinder or two (which he then sells) and most recently I saw him advertising a bass with a German sounding name (something like Loewenhertz). Does he need the money? I don't know but I doubt he is poor as a Church mouse. He almost certainly doesn't need the (new) bass! These two were made specially for the reunion tour. He also used the Spellbinders (as well as the Alembics) on the SMV tour last year.
