warwickhunt
No disrespect mate but signing up to a UK forum and immediately trying to sell a bass that is linked to a 0 rated USA eBay account does not instill masses of confidence! Are you an established user over on Talkbass or have you got it advertised over there? You may be totally genuine but I think you'll have to work at it to secure a sale... unless anyone on here lives local to you! Just my humble (unasked for) observations. kwjmike
No, I do not have an established account with Ebay nor Talk Bass. I understand your concerns but the honest truth is that I am 23 and a dedicated musician who hasn't had to part with too much gear. The band I was in broke up and half of the household has moved out, leaving the bills for a 4-bedroom house to two musicians (as if the struggle isn't already hard enough!). I am a great person and just as good of a bass player I studied from Jeff Berlin for a year at his Players School of Music. His son, Jason Berlin, was the drummer for the previously mentioned, and presently dissembled, band (Note: We had a 5-piece band and he was the one member who did not live at the house, so no marks against him. Still a great friend and jam-mate). I know my sh*t and I'm a sensitive artist, probably like you reading this. All I have to offer is the truth of my situation and one hell of a deal... -J Edited May 4, 2010 by kwjmike

CS2
All I have to offer is the truth of my situation and one hell of a deal... -J
In Sterling $2300 is £1567. There's shipping on top of that and the buyer will have to pay VAT (15% or 17.5% forget which) and 3% import tax and both those amounts are calculated with shipping included. So you are looking at around £300 on top of the asking price. That's a very conservative £1800. A new one from the Bass Centre is £2045. IMHO it's not one hell of a deal and there is a certain amount of risk for the buyer. Again IMHO you need to sell this in the US. Also have you not family or close friends that would sub you rent until you got another house mate? Edited May 7, 2010 by CS2
