Looks like the "professional" de-fret was done with a rusty spade though. Quite a few chunks of wood missing out of the fingerboard

The HMT was produced late eighties, early 90s I think. They look great, so long as you ignore the headstock!

gareth on here has (or had?) one, it used to be his avatar. although i'm not sure if his is fretless or not.

they did a MIJ one called the Precision A/E, pretty much the same but with a normal headstock.
