parker_muse
I've played around with effects before, generally Boss stuff like the ODB-3 and the autowah. However i'm looking for something more subtle to add to my sound. I play in a Ska/Indie/Punk band and i'm looking to give the bass sound a bit of 'edge'. It'll be running a MIM 50's reissue into a superfly head and a 2x10/1x15 combo. I want to add something warm and funky to it, i don't know weather this would be done through some kind of valve emulator like a Sansamp or going super low with an octaver. Help? Finbar
I'd say possibly something like a Catalinbread SFT? Maybe a nice envelope filter if you're wanting to get a little squelchy/funky with it.

Worth trying to give your tone a nice biting edge.
parker_muse
I've found i can really get that super warm round sound with the EQ set up right and the tone rolled right off. I'll stick with this for now but that SFT sounds GLORIOUS! Edited May 8, 2010 by parker_muse
