Dosi Y'Anarchy
Hey, so i bought this thunderbird on BC really recently. It is everything I expected and more: thick, raunchy, punchy tone, Iconic looks...just generally a beast of a machine. But my new P+J and J+P basses have taken over and I just love them more. First thing I did was move the upper strap peg to the back of the neck/body - as the Tokai's have a set neck (UNLIKE the Epiphones bolt-on) this was easy enough to do and has largely eliminated the famous Thunderbird neck dive. The bass was sold to me with the 'clip in/slide on' strap pegs, fortunately this is what I also use. Unfortunately I dont have any replacements to hand so you'll have to source them yourselves. There are a few cosmetic things that I should mention that are visible in the photos below: 1. one of the control knobs has a small triangle of plastic broken off. 2. Where I previously installed a chrome bridge cover, there are holes left over. 3. Where I have moved the top strap peg to the back of the neck, there is a hole where the peg used to be. 2 and 3 are nothing a small amount of wood filler and paint wouldnt disguise. The bass it self is in ok condition but does have a few little scuffs and scrapes, nothing too deep and also comes with its own fitting softcase. I'm looking for £185 Including UK Postage Payment via paypal or cash on collection can be arranged (I live near junction 18 of the M25) due to work constraints - postage will take place the saturday after the bass sells, unless I have a day off, or if I can arrange someone to go down to the post office for me. Ou7shined
This is Neepheid's old T-bird. I've played this bass and it had a huge, punchy sound. It was in great nick then (not sure about the new makeover though ) and I know it took a bit of effort for him to find the right pickguard for it too. neepheid
It would have been easy to get a plain one - it wasn't that easy to find a T-bird pickguard with the logo, I was thwarted on ebay a couple of times then a kind BCer found one in their spares box and donated it to me
