Mr. Foxen
Picked up the V-type pre I've been after finally today, and my 1000w Matamp Quasar finally got delivered, so this monster rig is now spare. It is a Peavey Max valve preamp, upgraded with a Harma valve. Fully working, but used, one knob has been replaced by another Peavey one from a T-Max head. Great reviews for these preamps. Manual here Reviews This goes into a Peavey 8.5C power amp, bridged this pushes 1100w at 4ohm, 550w a side at 2 ohm. It has the clipping protection that peavey like. Has some fan noise, but nothing that matters if you are using 1100w. I had this overheat and cut out once, Peavey gear seems pretty well protected, but I opened it up and it appear to have sucked one of those shaggy grey cats into it at some point, cleaned all that out, and gave it some harsh doom drone testing, and its been fine since. Manual Both of these are in a rack case, if bought all together, I will include a high quality patch lead that connects them and the speakon cable that is connected to the terminals to run it bridged. Here it is in practice, the 6x12 is also going for £600, that's a pretty devastating rig for less than a grand. rohan
Man, that is actually dangerous. I've never seen a 6x12 either!

johnnylager
I stand corrected. No thanks, I'm saving for vintage natural BC Rich and a gert chunky bifton valve amp. Edited May 6, 2010 by johnnylager

Alien
I'm interested in the pre, as well you know How much for that? A
Mr. Foxen
Price drop, or the pre for £150, the amp for £100. Buying both gets a case and leads thrown in.
