Shockwave Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Classic Trace Pre-amp here, with a kick ass compressor! Near mint condition for something around two decades old! Barely used by previous owner, and used for one gig by me. Lights up green and all the classic Trace sounds here. Got original valve in there! Can be mono, Bi-amped or Tri-Amped! You know its good, buy buy buy! £300. Pickup from bristol much preffered.
Musicman20 Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 I had the full amp version of this and it was an absolute machine....punches like crazy! Good luck
Mr. Foxen Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Now if you paired it up with the 1100w power amp also going in Bristol, you'd be sorted.
mikhay77 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Got the same pre amp on my ah500 12,they are suberb pre amps, great compressor and the valve really does get things dirty, bump
StevieD_FenderP2009 Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Can this be used without a power amp or does it have to have a power amp with it?

StevieD_FenderP2009 Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Ah bugger. I'd of snapped it up if that wasn't the case
Mr. Foxen Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 I can sort a power amp local to the pre if it swings it, £75.
StevieD_FenderP2009 Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 I would do but I can't afford the extra £75 at all. Not unless butterflies and moths cover it? haha
Shockwave Posted July 12, 2010 Author Posted July 12, 2010 REDUCED AGAIN TO £210. Postage will cost extra!
cameltoe Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Would that power amp be useful for any amp? Even Valve amps? Reason I ask is because I just bought a Little Bastard, and although it's done well for volume, things do get dirty fairly quickly. I could do with a touch more headroom before it starts to snarl. Wondered if a decent power amp would work here.

But you wouldnt be using the output valves of the ashdown so would lose that particular tone.

The power amp I have going is still going.
