Rick 3001, pretty unusual

Recommended Posts

eh?

Like the 3000 before it, these were built as budget learners instruments. They've never been highly sought after like their big brothers - unless you're a huge Mani fan. I forget if he used a 3000 or a 3001

These are the Rickenbacker equivelants of the Musicman SUB.

Pretty steep considering you can get a 'proper' 4003 for that kind of money

Mani uses a 4005 doesn't he?

Agreed that the 3000 series is not as highly sought after as other rickenbackers. I would have thought this is at the very top of the reasonable price range.

Aye, he has a 4005 which is painted or something. I vaguely remember him having some sort of design on his.

The 4005 is the daddy as far as the Rick fans go, moreso the 6 and 8 string versions and the lightshow one.

As far as I remember, he mainly used the 3000/3001
