stingrayfan
A few people have been asking what my L2000 Tribute sounds like. Here's one being demo'd. It's the same finish as mine. :-)

Hit&Run
I got a new L2500 from the bass centre for £410 inc P&P. It ain't half bad. Shame I can't play it like Ed... There's some alright deals on ebay from US dealers.
stingrayfan
Got both of mine from US Ebay. Factor in $100 shipping and about £70 UK tax and you can get a new L2000 Tribute into the country for £350. Worth paying extra for a hardcase for it to ship in though, one of mine arrived with a big ding in the back.
paul, the
What would you best compare the neck and nut width to?
dub_junkie
both pickups in parallel,in 1st active position(no treble boost) is one of my all time favourite bass tones. great sound with treble boost on as well but can get a bit too sizzly if you dont roll off some treble. I also love the neck pickup in series and passive mode as well - dead woody sounding.... almost a one bass bass does all with the tri-tone electronics and MFD humbuckers - and with each polepiece on each coil adjustable theres no quieter strings unless strangely you ever wanted them that way. great demo - I think he covered each of the tones in logical order and with the right amount of comparisons.
