Got both of mine from US Ebay. Factor in $100 shipping and about £70 UK tax and you can get a new L2000 Tribute into the country for £350. Worth paying extra for a hardcase for it to ship in though, one of mine arrived with a big ding in the back.

both pickups in parallel,in 1st active position(no treble boost) is one of my all time favourite bass tones. great sound with treble boost on as well but can get a bit too sizzly if you dont roll off some treble. I also love the neck pickup in series and passive mode as well - dead woody sounding.... almost a one bass bass does all with the tri-tone electronics and MFD humbuckers - and with each polepiece on each coil adjustable theres no quieter strings unless strangely you ever wanted them that way.
great demo - I think he covered each of the tones in logical order and with the right amount of comparisons.
