Merton
I'd lose that down the back of the sofa. I want it.
Bottle
Crikey, that's ickle - 200w into 4 Ohms isn't too shabby, though I think that'll look a little silly perched on top of my EBS 4x10 (I mean, seriously, I've had comments about my MB-500, like 'where's the amp?') However, for those looking for a compact and seriously lightweight amp/cab solution, that's gotta be the dogs danglies - partner that up with a Compact or Midget, or both Damn, that's all I need now - more GAS Ian
molan
The cabs are super lightweight too: http://www.gallien-krueger.com/products_mbe_series.html The 2x12 is just 34 lbs - I thought my old Begantino 1x12's were light at 31lbs! That's also lighter than the Shuttle 2x10 cab @ 37lbs. . .
largo
And a 410 at 41lbs, damn I'll have to rethink the Barefaced Compact route now ! bugga
Musicman20
The new Gallien cabs/combo/micro amps are probbaly the lightest out there. I saw the spec of that 4x10! I cannot believe it! Now THAT makes it worthwhile going lightweight. Some of the really expensive neo 4x10s weigh as much as my Aguilar DB212....which is taking the point out of lightweight. THAT Gallien 4x10 is just silly light! Personally, I really want one of the 2x12 combos. 500W into 2x12....
largo
anybody know who's stocking these in the UK ? Wouldn't mind seeing some pricing.
Musicman20
The MB210 combo is just under £500. Now THATS a bargain. Im waiting to see reviews on the MB212. I think the new neo cabs are literally brand new.

Musicman20
Just how exactly do they make a 4x10 weight less than some 1x12s?! Dood
It isn't 'switchable' and doesn't use an'auto sensing' switch-mode power supply - you'll need to buy a UK version

Merton
Brian at G-K got back to me on this: "The MB200 will not be available for about 8 weeks. A unit bought in the U.S. would need to be internally converted to work in the U.K." So scuppered on all fronts!
crez5150
I have one on the way from GK..... not going to be here for a couple of months though.....
dangerboy
"Converting" the MB2-500 just involves moving a single jumper on the circuit board. Don't know if this one will be the same.
largo
How much for the MB-200 crez5150 ? And scuppered with the 410 as they've gone and put a handle on the top, what's the point in that? I want my amp to rest on the top, especially with a 4x10.

It'll probably sit over the top of the handle I'd think. Edited May 20, 2010 by Bigwan
largo
My intention was to replace my 410 and keep my rack amp. Would possibly look at installing side handles if I had to.

JackLondon
In USA it's about $250 so it'll probably be around £250 here in the UK
