Clarky Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Sorry to disappoint chaps but Joes lovely bass is not heading my way. We have succeeded in bumping his FS thread though
molan Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 If anyone is in doubt as to just how good this bass sounds then they really should get up to Joe to try it out. It really comes alive in a gig situation & sounds glorious. Jimmy Coppolo's pre-amp is the most 'musical' I've heard, so flexible & impossible to get a bad sound out of
Gwilym Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Joe - trade offer still stands - if we can manage the logistics
lozbass Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 To echo Molan, IMO, AC's pickups and electronics offer a superb range of classic J tones - the pre simply offers gentle enhancement of the natural tones in the bass: nothing extreme at all. Build quality, finishing and 'feel' are exemplary
Clarky Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Hey Joe, I presume this is now for sale through BassDirect as its on Mark's s/h instruments page? http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_sp...Alleva_LG5.html Really is one beautiful bass
Rayman Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010
Hey Joe
There's a song in that somewhere. Stunning bass, from a top bloke.
JMT3781 Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 That bass keeps looking at me whenever i go on the bass direct website.. I've had to re-name the link to the website "House Deposit" in my favourites so i don;t do anything stupid..

Toasted Posted August 17, 2010 Author Posted August 17, 2010 Bump! Musicman20 Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 This is a stunner. Ive no idea whether Ive got cash to spare to this amount, but let me know if you wanted any trades against a brand new American Standard P Bass. Might not be your thing, but thought Id ask.
Toasted Posted August 18, 2010 Author Posted August 18, 2010 There's new (much better) pictures of this bass on the Bass Direct website.
Selling the P5 your fiance gave you for your wedding (IIRC) is a dangerous game! On topic: the LG5 looks fabulous in the BassDirect pics. If it plays as well as my Willie Weeks it is undoubtedly a wonderful bass
