I believe these were budget line compared to the 4000 range, but what were they like? If they're Ricks they must have been good s****??

A quick Google says:

Features: Two single coil pickups, 2 tone and 2

volume controls, selector switch, chrome plated hardware, Padouk fingerboard, 9 dot inlays, rear access control panel, and fixed bridge.

1984 - Introduced

1992 - Discontinued

They looked to me as though you adjusted the pickup height via screw adjusters from the back of the body - weird but then again it's a Rickenbacker.

They made a Glen Frey 2030 at one point as well or that could've been the 2080.
