I drift between 5 and 6 all the time (especially with a detuner on the 5). This is an awesome bass, have you thought about tuning up for the C/other.....

I'm looking to trade a nice 6 at the moment but you're punching above my weight...

Best of luck

Andy

oh my god! I can't believe that you are actually selling this beauty!
the bass plays like butter and sounds huge!
It has one of the lowest actions I've ever played!
I wish I had money!
Good luck for the sale!

Gwilym, sorry I don't have sound clips, but I'll try to have them very soon. I've just finish to make a session using the bass on 3 records and for sure this will give a much more clear idea to you about what we are talking about. I don't like to use free adjectives but the tone of this bass is absolutly remarkable.

Thanks Paulo you know the bass and your words make me think twice, but also you know I'm moving to midi and need another 6 strings

Cricriii, of course I remember you and your fantastic Roscoe SKB6. I know you already sold the Roscoe...good for you and also for the lucky guy that takes your bass.

I'd have them both if I could afford them ...[/quote]
Well you have some fine instruments as well, sir!

Getting back on topic, what are the laminates between the body and the top?

Hi Stockholm Syndrome,

Thanks a lot, but Modulus is not my kind of bass. Only a question of personal taste.

Cheers

Your observation is correct. I've checked some spalted maple tops and are completely different from that one. Sorry for the mystake. I don't know how to describe the top. When I bought the bass from Bass&Beyond it was described as AAAAA Spalted Maple Top.
