Annoying Twit Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Assuming that the description is accurate, this seems like the kind of bitsa that is made from bits left over, rather than bits chosen. Westfield neck, Squier pickups? Some maple body from somewhere? Surely if anyone was making a bitsa by choice, they'd go for something more upmarket than a Westfield neck? Ou7shined Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 What a bloody mess they've made of the lacquer and decal. 120 + p&p is too much for this POS. Quote
lemmywinks Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 The last Westfield i played was quite nice, Fender shaped headstock too so not a bad choice for a cheap bitsa. Also Squier pickups can sound pretty good! I quite like the look of it, might be a really nice bass. If it was £50 - £70 then i'd be tempted. Definitely wouldn't spend anywhere near the asking price though. Quote

lemmywinks Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 I'd say the neck was as good as some Squiers i've played, certainly better than the majority of no-name copies. Bearing in ming the Westfield P (one of which i assume donated the neck for this bitsa) goes for £70 new that's quite a bargain. I played the 'Ray copy which was for sale for just over £100 new, was well worth the cash IMO. Quote
