Cruise ship work

Heya,

A possibility has opened up for me which would involve playing bass on cruise ships over the summer. Just wondering if anyone here has done it and what their experience was like? How's the lifestyle, everything get extremely boring?

Also in terms of payment I'm kind of interested to know what the going rate is. Wondering if I'm getting ripped off
