New bassist, new to basschat

Hey,
Been perusing basschat for the past 2 weeks, taking in as much as I can, getting what I can from it :rolleyes: But thought I'd say hello and try and join into some of the threads now.

Started playing bass 2 weeks ago when I got my epiphone les paul special bass :lol: Currently not using a teacher but using the information over at studybass and a beginner to intermediate bass book.

Will be getting a teacher (if anyone has good well priced suggestions) when I move to Bristol at the beginning of July.

Wanted to play bass for the past 7-8 years but never got round to getting one... Now I have I can't stop :lol:

Main source of bass love for John Entwistle. ^_^
