Is She Really Going Out With Him?..

Not really sure which section this should be posted in, doesn't seem to fit the groove section...

So, in Is She Really Going Out With Him? at the end of the chorus, when the chords go F to Gm, the bass seems to be playing something different...I'm hearing G (5th fret on D string) when the root is F with a Bb on the 'with him'

They rest of the band look at me funny when I don't just play F- Gm

What do you hear on the recording...?

Sounds like you are right. The bass notes in the chorus are:

Eb Bb Eb D G F Eb G Eb F

Your guitarist might be playing the wrong chord or at least the wrong inversion.
