renniks Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 (edited) Hi, I am moving to Bristol in July and I'm looking for my first bass tutor. I would be interested in 1 lesson a week for 1 hour. A bit of background, I have owned my bass for 2 weeks and I'm currently learning from "Complete learn to play - bass" (link: http://www.bassbooks.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=574) I would prefer the tutor to primarily teach bass, and have a wealth of experience teaching. Thanks ^_^ Mark Edited May 28, 2010 by renniks Quote
Mr. Foxen Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Can come sit in the House of Bass for a really cheap rate, and just soak up the atmosphere. And learn why maybe you should take up a small acoustic instrument. Quote
renniks Posted May 30, 2010 Author Posted May 30, 2010 House of bass? small acoustic instrument? o.O all a bit cryptic for my liking Quote
Mr. Foxen Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 The House of bass is a small flat occupied by two bassists and a large amount of large bass equipment. Conversation in there will include the words "bass" or "amp" in most sentences. But after next week, I'll probably be having a jobless bit, so if you want any pointers or such I'd be happy to. Quote
renniks Posted May 31, 2010 Author Posted May 31, 2010 Ahh cool cool thanks for the offer - may indeed take you up on it, hope the jobless bit doesn't last for long (unless that's what you want of course) Quote

renniks Posted June 18, 2010 Author Posted June 18, 2010 Thanks for the reply, I seem to have found someone that I'll be contacting to make sure they are available when I arrive in Bristol Quote
Skinz Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 When I lived in Bristol, I had lessons from Graham Southcott. I found him to quite good and not particularly expensive, either. Quote
