GreeneKing
I do like it, very much so Dares to be different. Same with his decoration, well cool. Peter
Beedster
Any listing that starts with the phrase "VENDO STUPENDO" gets my vote without question! Chris
Bassassin
Too bad he feels he has to say "Fender Jazz" in his listing to get people to look. I think it's stunning, I could even learn to live with that pointless little flap where the headstock isn't. Jon.
Rich
I love it... up as far as the nut. Then, it all goes tragically wrong.
grosa
fact what were they thinking with that headstock? otherwise i like it and the statue in the background
Bassassin
fact what were they thinking with that headstock? otherwise i like it and the statue in the background
I particularly like the novelty stand the one on the front of the manufacturer's website is displayed upon. I'd quite like one of those for each of my basses. J.
BigRedX
And that at the moment is a very good price for a Laurus... It'll be interesting to see what the end price is. The last couple of Laurus basses on eBay have been priced much higher and as a consequence not attracted any bids.
tauzero
what were they thinking with that headstock? otherwise i like it
If you look at the pictures on the manufacturer's website, the headstock makes more aesthetic sense - it picks up the body theme rather nicely. I'd prefer a headless headless myself but I wouldn't say no to one of those. Wish I had a grand to spare, I'm just trying to settle on a 5-string fretless at the moment... BigRedX
There is a technical reason for the 'headstock' rather than just looks and I'm pretty sure that there used to be an explaination of it on a previous incarnation of the Laurus site. Something to do with neck resonance IIRC. Edited November 28, 2007 by BigRedX
WarPig
and there i was hoping for a bass shaped like a jar of marmite
SJA
looks like it takes standard single ball end strings, and you have to chop them off at the clamp.
Marky L
looks like it takes standard single ball end strings, and you have to chop them off at the clamp.
I can't go with that, it looks like a knob end. (A deformed one I grant you).
