Now having bought a new amp I can give my brother-in-law back his Marshall Bass State B150. However, I have noticed that at some point the volume knob has been lost... This is a big ask, but has anyone got a spare knob (so to speak!) for a marshall combo? It's black with a kind of bronze/gold coloured front to it... Or, does anyone know where I can get another (that doesn't involve me purchasing a minimum of $40 from an American site!)?

Yeah just get in touch with your local Marshall stockist or shoot an email to the distributor, can usually get small stuff like that.

I needed a new pot and knob for my old Hartke head and i just rang up for one, cost a few quid and arrived in a couple of days
