Thats a bit steep for my tastes, plus right handed so I don't care!

I could see myself being that silly and buying my kids (if I have any!) a bass like that one day, if for no other reason than to play it myself when they not looking!

Changed strings to Rotosound roundwound to replace Flatwounds it came with , so it wasn't SH that inspired your purchase or the fact the Flats would be easier on your sons soft digits.
