victor5string
A few months back i brought a GK Fusion 550 and it makes a loud pop every time it turns on, does anyone know what might be causing this and how to/how much it would cost to fix cheers Vic
Mog
If the volume and input gain are not at 0 when you power up/down it can lead to popping. If thats not the cause it could be anything from dirty power outlets to an inbuilt delay in the head which ensures the juice is evenly distributed throughout the unit. I had an old Ampeg solid state head that did this.

RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE
I used to have an old OHM 150 watt head/cab. Loud as f**k It always did the same as your amp,but there wern't any problems with it. Having said that,I did get it serviced once as I used to bash the head about on public transport.
