Clarky Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 (edited) The Area 51 Stealth is a full-on RAWWWKKK drop-in for a P-bass and retails at £75 (http://www.wizardpickups.co.uk/shop.asp?ID=180). It is not for those seeking Jamerson style vintage-y goodness and has active-type output levels, despite being completely passive. The sound is still unmistakeably Precision (woody, thumping) but is much more punchy than your average P-bass pickup I have one surplus to requirements (previously was installed in "Sid") and would sell it for £45 inc postage. Last one on BC was advertised for £55. Edited June 7, 2010 by Clarky
Clarky Posted June 3, 2010 Author Posted June 3, 2010
Stop it Clarky!! I'll be bloody bankrupt before long
Its all a cunning ruse. I am actually your wife's solicitor and little by little I am draining your funds and setting them up in a Swiss numbered bank account for Mrs Tom1946
Clarky Posted June 4, 2010 Author Posted June 4, 2010 FYI, for those who after a SD Quarter Pounder, this sounds very similar and is slightly more punchy still. Really is superb for loud rock/punk/metal etc
Clarky Posted June 5, 2010 Author Posted June 5, 2010 (edited) Saturday morning bumpola. Here's a pic (one of jonthebass's, thanks mate) of the pickup in situ on Sid Edited June 5, 2010 by Clarky
