I've been toying with the idea of putting solo strings on my orchestral bass, as its not as responsive as I would like with the standard. However, I would rather not pay £150 - £200 on an experiment, so if any of you kind people have a spare or old set of solos and want to sell at a reasonable price, do please let me know.
