Hi,

I stumbled across a myspace that actually looked like a website. does anyone know the type of profile - pimping softwares or website they use. I've only found the normal ones that I can only do what you see on mine..

There's is

http://www.myspace.com/rumhoney

mine is

http://www.myspace.com/adriangrahammusic

My myspace needs pimping

I'm not sure what editor they're using for their Myspace but it doesn't render properly in Firefox. The player is pushed further down on the left and half off-screen. Opera does the same thing. That said, things look ok in IE8 and Chrome.
Not sure if this will suit, but one simple but effective Myspace editor I've used is "Thomas's Myspace Editor" (http://www.strikefile.com/myspace/). If you know how, you can further manipulate the code or just paste in the code as is to your own Myspace once you're done. One good thing about it is it doesn't push other junk onto your page as well (e.g., ads, etc).
(Note: the editor is apparently being re-designed at the moment but is still usable).

I like your layout, uncluttered, white background, find everything - cool.

Can't get much simpler than mine, which is what I think Marvin was referring to (thanks, mate!) but it's not in my sig any more:

Trendy? Pah! Style over substance! :)

+1- the one you've linked to is a horrible mess layout wise. It looks like something from 1998, made in Frontpage. Yours is much leaner and cleaner.

The trouble with myspace is that its always going to look a mess. It is not a substitute for a proper website if you feel you do need something more than a myspace sh*te.

The one you linked to uses big blocks of text rendered as a graphic which can look nice, but are totally inaccessible to visually impaired uses (including the google spider).

ok, with the whole myspace is rubbish.. has anyone got a cheapish (yep cheap), yet simple yet professional website?? I'm gonna do that in the next few months.. I think just a into page with some images, vids, contact, links should be enough

I too prefer your MySpace. Keeping with the solid black background you could maybe consider a banner. (google MySpace banners)

I do ours which is http://www.myspace.com/casehardin which I guess is somewhere between the 2???
