dirtylittleherbert Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 I might be buying an amp from ebay and the guy has said I can arrange my own courier, so who does basschat recommend? Would I need dimensions and weight etc to get prices from companies? Cheers Quote
NJE Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Hiya, First of all yes you will need dimensions and weight for the couriers as if they get there and its bigger and heavier than you say they will then probably ask for more money. Courier wise there is a massive thread with reviews and scoring system for different couriers on here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...amp;hl=couriers Personally I highly recommend APC Overnight and have used them a couple of times with no problems and they are extremely quick. I have also recently used website called P4D.com which was suggested by another memeber. It was very easy to use and fill in the info and I could just pay online. They have accounts with a couple of couriers and then pass on the rates they get to you the customer. I sent a bass last week through them (via DHL) and it was all very simple and the bass got there safely so cant fault them so far. Hope that helps a bit. Quote

You'll no doubt hear otherwise, but I've had no problems at all with them: http://www.parcel2go.com/ Edit: Spelling. Edited June 7, 2010 by discreet Quote
Conan Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Just used Interparcel. No problem at all. Through DHL they shipped a big, heavy Ampeg amp from Newcastle to the Republic of Ireland in less than two days! Total cost just over forty quid, and that included enhanced insurance cover. Quote
dirtylittleherbert Posted June 7, 2010 Author Posted June 7, 2010 Cheers lads just had a quote for £45 so that sounds fair enough to me. Quote
