paul, the Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Ohh, she's lovely. Can't wait for some clips. And the tuners make me so happy Quote
BigRedX Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 That's very tasty indeed!! I'm a little worried about the proximity of that hammer in the last photo though... What strings have you got on there? Quote
mr.sibs Posted February 26, 2008 Author Posted February 26, 2008 had to use hofner strings for the scale, so they are hofner original flatwounds, very nice too Quote
mr.sibs Posted March 2, 2008 Author Posted March 2, 2008 Couple of sound clips, excuse the slightly hesitant playing (not so used to the neck yet) and recorded quite quickly.... excuses excuses first one is full neck pickup, second is full bridge Quote
paul, the Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 I really like the tone, mr. sibs. What a gem of a bass! Quote
7string Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 What a great bass !! Congrats to owner and luthier alike !! Quote
mr.sibs Posted March 3, 2008 Author Posted March 3, 2008 why thank you i was a bit dubious about my playing as it is certainly a bit of getting used to with the short scale and fretlessness but glad you enjoy Quote
wotnwhy Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 just had a listen to the soundclips. theres a fair bit of distortion on the tracks, whats the source of that? distortion aside though, the bass is sounding fantastic it really is. and your playings not too shaby either congrats! Quote
mr.sibs Posted March 10, 2008 Author Posted March 10, 2008 i think its just due to i being a quick recording, its a line in from my amp and the level was probably a bit hot to be honest, im also sticking it through quite a long and old mic lead at the moment which doesnt hep with unwanted noise, cheers for the positives though Quote
