They are new and sealed in the original packaging. The set includes a 'clam shell' zip up carrying case, a 'fit kit' of different size and shape sleeves/buds and a wax removal tool for the earphones! I used them with IEMs and as long as you can get a good seal from buds (the yellow foam are the best IMHO) they reprodce the bass very well. They are phenomenal on a decent mp3 player too!
