I'm going to replace this with a cheaper bass (possibly a P/PJ bass, so will accept those in part-ex), as it is only being used as a back-up bass and that's a bit daft!

It is a 2009 USA Fender P bass which had the P pup replaced with a Nordstrand and the J Nordstrand pup fitted all done by The Gallery; at the same time they fitted the Badass III bridge which retains the original thru-body stringing. The bass is immaculate and comes complete with the latest Fender hardcase with the 4 clasps, all case candy and truss rod bar is there. These latest models really are cracking basses, with great attention to detail like rolled fingerboard edges etc. the bass has approximately £250 worth of extras added.

The bass is 9lb in weight and any subsequent trade offer would have to be a 'maximum' of 9lb but ideally lighter. The only other bass I'd be interested in is probably a MM Sterling ideally in a sunburst/cherryburst.

[s]£750[/s] £725

There's a maple boarded version on eBay at the minute... sans Jazz pup!

The case etc. is the same as this one.

I'll vouch for the awesomeness of this bass. It lived with me for a few months while I came to the slow realisation that I need 5 strings and no frets. :)

Buy with confidence, people. This is a lot of bass for not much money, and John's one of the nicest guys alive.

No, I believe the original P pup was retained by The Gallery. As Fender don't do a 2009 USA PJ bass that I am aware of I may have just taken for granted that folks would have realised that this is a USA P bass (not the old 'standard' P bass mind) with the J pup fitted after but I think it best to make that clear. :)

Of course you could always buy it, replace the bridge with a stock Fender type (cheap) then sell the BA on eBay for £80ish http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT That makes for an even cheaper bass!
