sshorepunk
Played a gig last night, didn't use my backline, used the bass rig of the next band it was a 4x10 with a fender baseman head. Got loads of comments about my bass sound! All were very good, the key ones being "that is the sound for this band" the rig lacked headroom as we are loud, butit did growl! I use an ebs td650, known for it's high end, accurate sound, so maybe it's time to change! I was already thinking of aggie db750, will that do it? Maybe stay with ebs and go for a fafner? Recomendations please!!! Tony
geoffbyrne
Save money - get an MXR-80+ and dial in a bit of grind in the 2nd channel. G.
Mr. Foxen
If you are digging the crude and dirty valve amp sound, why not go for a crude and dirty valve amp? Stop messing with the shiny pretty things. Depending on how loud you want, There are a bunch of valve amps going. There are some Mesa that straddle the border between valves and shiny tech, and probably cheaper than the Aguilar.
