lemmywinks Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Makes total sense, why wouldn't a butchered cheapy be worth £500+? Quote

Hot Tub Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 (edited) That is horrific. But.... I actually think it's a good idea. I know Warwick have their Alien acoustic bass (which I think is gorgeous), but a proper HR Geiger/Alien bass could be a wonderful creation! Edit: Of course, it would have to fight with Dood's Predator bass! :brow: Edited June 14, 2010 by Hot Tub Quote

Mr. Foxen Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 The carving would take a lot of time, but it is still from a cheap low bidder bass kit. Quote
OldGit Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Oh you sceptics! That's a Turner Prize Winning potential pice of art there ... Quote

geoffbyrne Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Neck & bridge pups are in wrong places & neck pup in bridge position is offset & doesn't line up. No idea!. G. Quote
JMT3781 Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 honestly no idea what to say.. Perhaps he should take it on dragons den, get funding to purchase a factory then mass produce them so we can all own one at a fraction of the price of the coveted original! That way, whoever clicks *buy it now* in this auction will be sitting on a gold mine as soon as someone famous plays one of these basses. I think we should all admire his entrepreneurship Quote
lemmywinks Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Close up it looks like a bad job IMO, plus the headstock looks awful. I'd bag it for a tenner though! Quote
