John fulfilled a long-time dream for me; to own a Wal Mk 1 custom fretless.

Involved a three-way deal with GustOo; absolutely couldn't have gone smoother - big thanks to a couple of top, friendly guys. Great communications, put himself out for a meet closer to Wales (I don't like to leave the sheep for too long..... ) Picked up the bass at sunny Aust services tonight, even Italy - Paraguay hasn't stop me noodling on it since. Why have I faffed around with lesser basses for so long?

Just sold an Ibanez Promethean combo to John, absolutely no problems at all. Nice guy, deal with confidence.

I see it was me who started this thread nearly 8 years ago, and jeez if I haven't gone and bought ANOTHER Wal off John - a fretted one this time.   As last time, he facilitated the deal big time by meeting me in a surprisingly quiet Cribbs Causeway, where I had the novel experience of noodling on the Wal on an impressive Roland micro-amp in Johns very snazzy motor home.  

Thanks mate - maybe another deal on 8 years time?
