Amazing use of musical technology… and a bass (of course)

This is not brand new so I apologise if it has been covered before!

I was trying to explain how the Boss SL-20 Slicer worked to a friend and as such decided that You Tube would provide the best explanation. During my scroll through the vid's I came across this… A bassist using a Slicer amongst many other things and controlling all the Midi stuff with his iPhone/iPod and the TouchOSC APP.

I thought it was bloody fantastic so would share…

His facial expressions at the start and end are so smug it's awesome. lol.

Like that a lot - not only great use of technology but also highly musical IMHO. I also like the way he has juxtaposed all the hi-tech wizzardry with a really nicely mojo'ed bass.

It's probably nothing i couldn't do on my computer, but the fact that it's on a tiny phone is quite impressive really.

The phone is only running something called TouchOSC, it's basically just a control interface. As far as I can tell, he appears to essentially be using MIDI to control some external hardware.
