Rich Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 I've got two Klotz leads which I've had for nearly 24 years and are still going strong. They appear to be indestructible If it was me I'd buy the bits and make my own (I do for patch cables), but for off-the-peg leads I'd go for OBBM or Klotz. Quote
OutToPlayJazz Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 I've been using the Fender Platinum lead for about 5 years now. Seems pretty well indestructable so far. Not bad value for £40. I also had an Elixir for about the same money, but that one died long ago. Strangely, I bought a couple of generic £10 leads with moulded ends a few years ago and they're still going strong... Quote

Or did you buy them in a strange manner? Yours pretending not to understand, Mark http://www.bassic-bits.co.uk/ Quote
JackLondon Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Another +1 for OBBM, Dave has made speaker cables for me and my guitarist and they just look the business and the cable itself is very thick and chunky which imo is a good thing! Quote
bigthumb Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Even my spare (although I doubt I'll ever need 'em) leads are Dave's! Quote
JTUK Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Neutrik and a quality cable. I get my local studio to make up mine. I think the cable is garaunteed and they have always been great. I figure the stuff he wired his studio with would be ok for me. Quote
bottlebassman Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 After reading this thread I ordered an instrument cable (neutrik / klotz) and a speaker cable from OBBM, gotta say superb quality and very fast service. Arrived within 2 days of ordering! Quote
Hutton Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 I have used a couple of Pete Cornish cables now for years. They still look as good as when I bought them. Yes they are very expensive as far as cables go but how many cheap leads would I have gone through in the same space of time. If the Cornish leads ever fail I promise I'll go to OBBM. Quote
