Dash
I'm thinking I might like to learn to play bass ukulele (and then possibly join a local ukulele band). Does anyone here know anything about bass ukuleles? Good brands, etc?

bottomfeed
Very cool sounding.... My daughter bought me a spongebob squarepants flying V ukulele last Xmas! I've been having a lot of fun with it.... Now I can't stop looking at videos of the Ubass! ...I'm hooked! There's even a guy doing TeenTown on one!!... ...There must be cheaper options than the Kala? EssentialTension
Now available in a slightly cheaper version with spruce top rather than mahogany: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...atchlink:top:en
silentbob
Had a little play on one last weekend, and although it's quite fun, i don't think i'll be rushing out to buy one at that price. Shame really as my kid will be learning uke at school in a couple of years and i thought it might be cool to take up the bass uke at the same time. pete.young
Bass Ukelele? Hell no. I was in Hobgoblin Music in London earlier today, and downstairs they have a bass mandolin. It looks like this: Yes, those are real full-size guitars in the picture.
