BigRedX
It would be great to see some BassChat people at the gig. Come and say 'Hi!' I'll be the bassist wielding the all-black Gus G3... Edited December 1, 2007 by BigRedX

BigRedX
How'd it go last night?
Pretty good! Because it was a seven act showcase night we kept it simple with as little gear as possible which in my case meant i was playing one song I would normally do on fretless on my fretted bass. We also did one brand new song which probably wasn't quite gig ready, but I doubt anyone outside the band noticed... Sound on 'stage' wasn't brilliant but we were practiced enough for that not to be a problem. The audience seemed to enjoy what we did. A couple of the other bands were pretty good too which is always a plus. I'm not entirely sure that upstairs at Yates is a particularly good venue, but the organisers were talking about have the bands play downstairs next time. All in all a good evening. bassicinstinct
Never known bands play upstairs before. No doubt that downstairs is the way to go live music-wise. Glad it went well for you.
