No is what I'd have said, but I don't know enough about the Ibanez catalogue to be certain.
Jean-Luc Pickguard
If they did, it would probably have a stupid inlay with his name on it that looks totally out of place
Machines
Ibanez should reissue them - i'd be after one if they did.

There weren't any signature basses as such in the Musician era but they did occasionally produce one-offs for particular artists - check this out: http://www.gbase.com/gear/ibanez-stanley-clark-1979 :brow: Jon. (But now only "quite interesting" as it's not an official Sting signature piece.) Jon, In theory, just saying, imagine if, etc, I've just been offered one of these (fifteen) basses, pre-owned, what sort of price tag are we talking? Possibly the opposite, depending on collector demand. Much better pics of the MC30th here: http://www.ibanezrules.com/namm/2009/mc30th.htm Can't help thinking they could've tried a bit harder with those pickup covers... Machines
Ergh, they've overegged the pudding for sure.

J.
Hmm, the plot thickens - this bass is not the MC30TH, but one from the early 80s - it has the usual exposed pole pieces on the pickups, a dark ebony touchboard, and dark stain - the bass in question has serial G806058 - and an inlay at the 24th fret that says "Limited Edition". I'd post some pics, but can't seem to attach tonight!

The Ltd Edition thing sounds faintly familiar. That serial makes it July 1980 - 30 this month! J.

AndyTravis
The MC30th, with all the fancy inlays shouldn't do it for me...i want it. I wanted it when i first saw it. Time for a Reissue Ibanez...one at £500, and a Prestige at a Grand... Also, the Stanley Clarke one on Gbase is a funky little thing too...i'd have it. Ooh $9500, no ta.
