Bass Culture
I have for sale a virtually unused Boss ME-20B multi effects in shop condition, boxed, complete with manuals and original batteries still sealed in the packaging. My wife bought this for me as a Christmas present as I was struggling to think of anything else. I don’t really know what possessed me, seeing as a Chorus pedal was the one and only effect I’d used in 30 years of playing up until then! Anyway, I took it out and programmed a few combinations of effects and have never used it in anger since – there’s just no demand for it in any of the bands I play in and it’s just sitting there feeling unloved and unwanted. I’m sure most of you will already be familiar with this unit but for those of you who are less so, here’s some blurb from the Boss website: ME-20B: Bass Multiple Effects Performance-Based Effects for Bass Features The second new offering in the ME series is the ME-20B, a powerful multi-effects unit optimized for live performance. With the same performance-based design as its guitar-focused ME-20 counterpart, the ME-20B is aimed at the performing bassist who wants stage-friendly effects and solid construction at an affordable price. Mix, match, and customize a wide variety of effects, including compressor, overdrive, distortion, T-Wah, phaser, flanger, chorus, delay, reverb, defretter, synth, and more. • Performance-based bass processor for the player who wants an easy-to-use interface with BOSS tone and quality • New super-tough metal chassis with 3 footswitches, 5 realtime control knobs, and expression pedal • EZ Edit for quick sound creation • Unique effects such as Synth, Octave, Defretter, and more • BASS ENHANCE function for instant presence boost • 30 user memory locations in addition to realtime operation • Battery or AC powered Some photos of the little fella: And here’s a link to the website, which gives an awful lot more information than I could, as there’s further links giving more detailed information on the specifications: http://www.bossus.com/gear/productdetails.php?ProductId=895 Even a novice such as myself found it pretty easy to set up after spending a little time with the manual, so, if you’re toying with the idea of introducing a few effects into your sound, I think the ME-20b represents as cost effective way of doing it as you could think of. I’m looking for £75 posted. Hell, I'll even throw in a power supply for it! My feedback can be found here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=43960 Thanks, Mark Edited July 3, 2010 by Bass Culture
