Sansamp RBI or RPM, which is better?

Hey

I'm looking to buy either one of the above mentioned units, the RBI or the RPM Sansamp Pre Amp

As you guys on here are the experts, which one would you say is better?

Also, would I be able to run one of these into a standard bass amplifier to blend the tone together or would that just not work?

Personally I always prefered the RPM, due to the mid shift features. I found it helped me cut through the mix more than the RPI, but they're essentially the same.
