Sarah5string
Wooooooop! Typically it clashed with the Race for Life I'm doing as it's Sunday 18th July at 10am, but I've managed to switch races so now I've got my exam and my Race for Life to look forward to. Now the knuckling down begins! eeeeeeee I'm excited

Annoying Twit
On first reading the title, I interpreted "date" as in "I've got my date for the prom"! Good luck for the calendar date in question.

leftybassman392
Do you have everything sorted? I know it sounds obvious, but don't leave anything 'til the last minute, and try to divide your preparation evenly between the sections - everything counts. Anything you're not sure about - ask your tutor (or better still, ask here! ). Good luck
Sarah5string
Scales and Arpeggios aren't a problem, know all my intervals, bass patterns I'm fine with just need to remember which names are for which riff (if that makes sense)... the only bits I need to work on over the next few weeks are the repetition of phrases and the performance really. Everything else I'm ok with, just need to keep practicing everything Edited June 24, 2010 by Sarah5string
JD1
On the repetition - if you foul up don't stop just continue and give the best version you can - you will still get marks. On the performance try and keep a solid groove and tempo as well as a melodic line to fit in with the chords. Start off simple and try and increase the complexity as you go - but don't lose the groove! Best of luck - sounds like you are on the case. TDM
Good luck! I remember this time last year I was preparing for a bass grade too. Which board are you doing it with?
