i don't know what band it is or any info other than what i can see in the pic

its obviously a ric copy, ridiculously thin neck, 4 pickups, stereo out.

anyone know anything about it? i'm stumped

edit, also just noticed the weird cab configuration behind him, looks like either 2x15, 2x12 or 2x12, 2x10

The bass player is Joey DeMaio, and the band is Manowar. The bass is, I believe, a one-off, christened "Demon II". If you look at [url="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yx1YDrvdVw0"]this video[/url] you will witness that he's not really a bass player at all.

Edit: I hasten to add that I am not an expert on this genre of music, not in the slightest. However, I am quite adept at using Google. I started by obtaining a list of the bands playing at Sonisphere Bulgaria 2010, of which there were 8. There were only a couple of names that I didn't recognise, so I used Wikipedia and Google Image Search to obtain a visual match on the bass player. Once I had the bass player's name, it was fairly easy to find out more about the equipment that he uses.

It appears that not all members of the band are playing in the same key. Qualitat.

The funny thing is, I thought it was one of those "shreds" videos for about the first two minutes! I kept waiting for it to get funny, instead of just sad...

there are lots of people (the same kind of people who enjoy listening to Michael Angelo batio) who will see that and think, "wow he plays realy fast, he must be the best bassist in the world!"

Nah, but if memory serves Manowar have been in the Guinness Book a few times for various things; loudest gig, longest gig etc. Feel free to Google accordingly...



And I'm no Manowar fan, but surely there's some love for them out there..! :)
