cycrowave
hi, i recently had my bass setup but im finding the action a little too low. iv looked through this forum, and found some great setup guides. just a quick question, if i adjust the action by raising the saddles will this affect the intonation? and will i then need to re-adjust this also? cheers lewis Edited June 26, 2010 by cycrowave
Ou7shined
In short, yes. But it should be quite minimal and the adjustment decreases the less you raise them. Adjust each string in turn. Get it in tune, raise it, then tune it and check that it is still in tune at the 12th fret. If it is flat lengthen the sadle screw so that it travels toward the neck. If it is sharp tighten.
