lozbass
Hi all, Well...with great sadness, I must pass this bass on. It's gorgeous - build quality, attention to detail, finishing, tone - it's got it all...and it's PINK! I bought this boutique, hand-built beauty from Kevin (Lindsay) just about three weeks ago. He'd had it for about four weeks. The bass was actually born on 28th April this year. This bass would be going nowhere if it wasn't for the chunky P neck profile - I only get on with really skinny necks. I should have know better but was entirely seduced by the finish: I love pastels. I've considered commissioning a new (jazz profile) neck but the cost is prohibitive and I have one or two J profiled basses anyway(!) I've posted some images below, but you may wish to take a look at those in Kevin's original porn post/ad (they're better than mine!) http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=89513&hl=Nordy I bought the bass for £970 (posted) and will sell for £950 (again posted to the UK). This price includes the brand new ProTec Contego case in which the bass was originally supplied - paperwork and adjusting tools are also included. The price is just about half of what Kevin paid for the instrument just under two months ago (possibly less given import duties and carriage etc.) The bass is in perfect, absolutely unblemished condition - it's essentially a new, hand-built bass at half price. There will be a donation to basschat from the proceeds of any sale. Any questions, don't hesitate. Edited July 7, 2010 by lozbass

lozbass
Hi all and thanks for the kind words! It is a lovely and very cool bass indeed - I've been considering seriously the prospect of having the neck re-modelled...however, this would be expensive and probably a bit mad. To answer some questions: Location - the bass is in my office in central Manchester - trials are certainly welcomed (it's always a pleasure to meet basschatters, though I don't have an amp in the office) Neck dimensions - the bass was ordered with a 'big' neck - this is noted on Carey's spec sheet. The neck depth (front to back) is 0.875" at the first fret and 1" at the 12th fret (again, these dimensions appear on the spec sheet). As Kevin indicated when he was selling the bass, the neck is chunky but comfortable - the rolled edges and compound radius of the board imply that the bass is very easy to play (it just feels weird to me as I make the transition from a super-skinny short-scale). I should have indicated earlier, that I paid £20 on top of Kevin's final asking price - this was for inclusion of the original (brand new) ProTec Contego case. The case will be included in the sale - as will the documentation from Carey (in a nice plastic bag) and adjusting tools, i.e., two hexagonal keys. More photographs should now appear in the first post

However...I'm pretty much sorted for exotics and need to hang out for cash on the Nordy. Thanks anyway
