Guest BassKS
Hi, I tried to take out the head from my 210, as I really dont tend to use it that often as a combo. the Speakers are a bit funny. So, I opened it and saw that there was no metal casing. Cheapskates!!! so I was wondering if anyone has got a solution for it. Cheers F
cheddatom
make a wood case, or find an appropriate metal or plastic box.
Alien
Yep, plywood case, lined out with foil to maintain RF screening. A lot of amp heads are built this way anyway. A
Delberthot
I think every combo I've seen has been like this - suppose they don't need a full case since its all protected inside plus it keeps the weight down a bit as well
Tinman
I've done this to my 'new edition' Trace 1210 combo with no problems. The whole head unit is encased, which is great. I just have to be careful of the controls getting knocked (when in it's original postion, the box overhangs at the front and back)
