LennyP
H Folks, Hopefully someone can help on this one. I have recently picked up a late 80's Trace 4x10 combo which I believe to be model 1110. It has the AH150 head with the GP11 preamp and the white toggles. The unit contains 4 x 50 watt speakers and has the red racing stripes across the centre of the vented cab. Anyway, one of the drivers is fried, but the other 3 sound great. Hence, I would like to replace the blown one with something that is comparable in efficiency, wattage etc. the only markings are a 'Made in England' stamp and a handwritten sticker with 'C1008 8ohm 50watt' written on it. I understand that TE used either Fane or Celestion back in those days. Does anyone know which this might be? The dust cap on the front is bigger than was on the later 32ohm drivers that had 'Trace Elliot' printed on them. Any ideas? the Fane website lists a 'Sovereign 10-125' that looks ok-ish Cheers
Delberthot
Thornybank is your man - I've not seen him on here for a while though Fantastic combo but I'm not sure myself what speakers they put in them You could also email British Audio Services to see if they have anything close
